Case Study: Building a Complete Brand Campaign with AI — NovaCraft Coffee
How we created a full marketing campaign — hero images, social videos, brand narration, and ad copy — for a fictional coffee brand using only ImageLayer's AI widget.
NovaCraft is a fictional artisanal single-origin coffee company. For this showcase, we treated it like a real launch: we needed hero imagery for the homepage, short-form video for social feeds, a polished brand voiceover, and tight marketing copy. In a traditional production workflow, that stack typically means hiring a photographer, a videographer, a voice actor, and a copywriter — each with their own calendars, revisions, and invoices.
We built the entire campaign inside ImageLayer instead — four output modes from one widget: image, video, audio (text-to-speech), and text — so stills, motion, voice, and copy all ship from the same surface.
The brief
NovaCraft sells small-batch, single-origin coffee with a premium-but-warm positioning. The campaign had to feel editorial and tactile: wood grain, steam, copper, morning light — not generic stock energy.
What a traditional stack costs
A rough traditional budget for comparable assets might look like this:
- Product or lifestyle photography: $500+ for a focused shoot
- Short social video (planning, capture, edit): $2,000+ depending on length and crew
- Professional voiceover for a brand spot: $300+ for usage-appropriate talent
- Copywriting for tagline and story blocks: $500+ for a solid draft-and-refine pass
Minimum implied spend: $3,300+ before rush fees, licensing, or reshoots.
We matched that breadth in ImageLayer only — one brand language across stills, motion, voice, and words.
Asset 1: Hero image (Image mode)
We started with a wide hero frame suitable for a landing page or campaign header. Mode: Image. Aspect ratio: 16:9. Cost for this generation: 4 credits.
Prompt
Premium product photography of an artisanal coffee setup — a ceramic pour-over dripper on a wooden counter, freshly ground coffee beans in a copper scoop, steam rising from a matte black mug. Warm morning light from a window, shallow depth of field. Rich brown and cream color palette with subtle gold accents. Magazine editorial style.
This establishes the visual anchor for everything that follows: warm light, craft details, and a restrained palette that reads as premium without feeling cold.
Generated result: NovaCraft hero image — 16:9, 4 credits
Asset 2: Social media video (Video mode)
Next, a short brand teaser for social — a cinematic latte-pour hero shot that reads as premium in under ten seconds. We wanted real barista motion — hands, milk stream, art forming — so we went with a direct text-to-video generation rather than animating a static still. Settings: 8 seconds, 720p, 12 credits.
Prompt
Cinematic artisanal coffee brand teaser for NovaCraft. A barista hand tilts a steel milk pitcher and pours steamed milk into a wide ceramic cappuccino cup, creating a leaf latte art pattern on the surface. The camera starts overhead looking straight down and slowly glides to a three-quarter angle as the pour finishes. Roasted coffee beans are scattered on the warm wooden counter beside the cup. Warm golden morning light from a window, rich brown and cream palette, shallow depth of field, realistic steam, appetizing café atmosphere. Shot on a professional cinema camera. No beans falling into the drink.
When the scene needs motion that defines the shot — hands, pouring liquid, steam — text-to-video often delivers more realistic results than animating a static still. The model gets to decide the physics frame-by-frame instead of trying to warp a frozen image.
Generated result: NovaCraft social teaser — 8 seconds, 720p
Asset 3: Brand narration (Audio mode)
For audio, we used Charon (Informative) with Gemini 2.5 Flash TTS — a clear, confident read that fits a premium food-and-beverage story without sounding theatrical. Cost: 1 credit.
Prompt
Every cup tells a story. At NovaCraft, we source single-origin beans from the highlands of Colombia, Ethiopia, and Guatemala — then roast them in small batches to unlock flavors you have never experienced. Rich. Complex. Unforgettable. NovaCraft. Crafted for the curious.
Use the read as-is for a reel VO, homepage hero with captions, or a short brand sting — same script you would hand talent.
If the teaser clip is already approved, the same script can also be applied from Add voiceover on the finished video preview to produce a merged narrated MP4. We are showing the standalone narration here because it is reusable across multiple placements.
Generated result: NovaCraft narration — Charon voice, 25 seconds
Asset 4: Brand copy (Text mode)
We generated a first-pass tagline and story block in Text mode for 1 credit.
Prompt
Write a compelling brand tagline and 3-sentence brand story for NovaCraft, an artisanal single-origin coffee company. Tone: premium, warm, authentic.
That output becomes ad lines, subheads, and email intros — iterate in seconds when you want a sharper hook.
Asset 5: Social media grid (Image mode)
To show consistency at scale, we generated a cohesive six-post Instagram grid — varied shots that still feel like one art-directed shoot. Mode: Image. Cost: 4 credits for the grid-style generation pass.
Prompt
A cohesive 6-post Instagram grid for NovaCraft artisanal single-origin coffee. Create six distinct square images that read as one campaign: (1) overhead flat lay of whole beans and a brass scoop on linen, (2) close-up of steam rising from a ceramic mug, (3) pour-over mid-brew with slow drips catching the light, (4) latte art from above with warm side light, (5) burlap sack and scattered beans on dark wood, (6) hands holding a cup by a sunlit window. Unified palette: rich brown, cream, copper, subtle gold; warm editorial photography; shallow depth of field; no text on images; premium cafe aesthetic throughout.
Same world, different focal points — enough for a week of posts without a studio day.
Generated result: NovaCraft social media grid — 1:1, 4 credits
Total campaign cost
| Asset | Mode | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Hero image | Image | 4 |
| Social video | Video | 15 |
| Brand narration | Audio | 1 |
| Brand copy | Text | 1 |
| Social grid | Image | 4 |
| Total | 25 |
25 credits total — roughly $1.50 in provider-side generation cost for this showcase, versus $3,300+ as a conservative traditional floor for the same breadth. Credit economics vary by plan; the point is the order of magnitude: one widget session versus four vendor lanes. The same narration can also be merged back onto the social teaser without leaving the widget.
Key takeaways
- One widget, four modalities. Hero stills, motion, VO, and copy from the same ImageLayer surface — no juggling separate tools per format.
- Consistent brand voice. Shared palette, lighting vocabulary, and tone words across prompts keep stills, motion, and narration aligned.
- Speed. Brief to a full multimodal package in under 10 minutes of generation time (excluding prompt paste and light iteration).
